Hello!
my question is- quest guides say you need to do the yeowa's scale quest before you can take the asa's grumble long chain quest... do you need to complete the yeowa quest 5 times or just once before you can take asa's grumble?

i dont tink u need to do Yeowas Scale b4 ASA grumble...
But ppl prefer to do it.. for lvlin up so tat they can lvl up b4 goin to Small Red & Red Scorps

im pretty sure you need to do it cause ive tried to talk to the npc without it and he wouldnt, (maybe there is some other quest u need to do). reason im asking is because if you need to do it just once before it's good (for the sp you get in the chain quest), but i dont wanna do it 5 times cause it doesnt give any SP.

i agree with you.. same thing happens to me.. ive done the yeowa quest once..but i dont wanna go all the way to the ferry if i end up not being able to do asa grumble quest

If Asa's Grumble is the linking quest for the Euro and Chinese Liquor quests, then you should be able to go pick it up without touching the Scale quest. That's what I did when I hit 35/6.

quest guides say that you need to do yeowas before u can touch it but perhaps its something else, anyway i cant take it from the npc.

Have you talked to the ferry boat between hotan and dw? i remember i was able to get it when i ran all the way there just to talk to this guy before talking to the npc in jangan. i don't seem to recall doing the scale first at that time.

but now, im doing asa's grumble without finish all 5 scale quest (its not a good quest, all xp no sp). so you can get it before doing all 5 scale quest. I normally do scale quest, expensive jewel quest (also 5x, but with sp reward), asa grumble, rinse and repeat

keeps interesting to see diff mobs instead of doing it 5x then the other one 5x again. i nearly gone crazy with the 3x 1000 flowers!!

im doing the scales quest now so ill have an answer soon.
and yeah the flowers are annoying also cause too many players grind there.

i don't understand why you have to kill lvl 30 monsters (stone headless guys and the taoists) for a lvl 36 quest?!!! i mean comon really!
