VERY IMPORTANT QUESTIONS ..

Post by tatyawinchu »

These are randomly answered here and there.. so i thought i will post them here.. answers to all these quetions is a guide by itself. Almost all credit goes to EllisD for answring much of it on other post.

Some questions remained unanswered .. so i am posting the whole thing here.. someone answer them in quoted stepwise manner please so that it becomes a guide.

The questions below are basically a pm sent to EllisD by me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

kindly explain the following - [ more questions will follow .. currently I am writing all those which I can remember ]

Some questions are in detail because that is how I am looking at the things.. do correct me if I am wrong.

Now lets FORGET about tablets, enchantments, stones, souls of stars etc

Considering I have a NORMAL weapon, I see following things and as a newbie I understand or make sence of stuff as follows .. correct me where I am going wrong -

EXAMPLE - I found a NORMAL level 13 glaive while hunting baby tigers. NOW - the weapon stats and their meanings [ meanings as a n00b like me understands it ] are as follows - Values are arbitary as I remember them.. they are not totally off the mark.

1) Weapon Type - Glaive --> I understand this

2) Weapon Degree - One --> This means its a basic weapon

Q - Does this mean that weapons in lets say character level range of 1 to 20 are Degree 1 weapons ? that from lvl 21 to 30 are Degree 2 weapons and so on ?

OR .. Does it mean that I found a crappy weapon but Degree 2/3 weapons with better stats for character level 1 to 20 may be available as mob drops? [ In which case I will keep hunting till i get a good glaive as lvling has really slowed down .. i take 5-6 hits to kill a single white name mob ]

Okies.. from below onwards things start getting real painful for me -

3) Physical Attack Power - 30 - 60 --> That when I just hit a mob with weapon without activating any spell, i do damage which is between 30 to 60 points per hit. [ Right now I am not negating the mob defence against physica attack etc.. just sticking to the weapon damage for better understanding ]

4) Magical Attack Power - 50 - 90--> WTF .. glaive is a physical damage weapon .. I have no Freaking idea why it has magic damage.

Q - Ok .. now when i activate River Fire Force .. glaive glows with fire .. I h it a mob, it does more damage usually than the physical attack power mentioned under point 3).

NOW, This damage is addtitional to the physical attack power in point 3), or its based on the magical attack power in point 4) .. to further simplify, lets say i do a best non critical hit .. then the damage would be -

60 [ max phy dmg ] + 90 [ max mag dmg ] OR .. because i have a spell on the glaive now, its now a magic damage weapon only and on best hit the damage will be just 90 max ?

5) Durability - 53/53 ( 10%) --> I think i understood this from your previous reply .. that an NPC shop will sell weapon which has 50/50 dura but this one i found has 53/53 which is 10% more than what sold in NPC shop.

6) Attack Distance - 1.8m --> Ok i am cool with this .. glaive has a longer handle so i can put in 2 hits before mob starts attacking me =)..so bows will have like 18 to 20 meters distance.. i guess

7) Attack Rating - 60 (8%) --> Hmm ... lets forget that 6% .. now I know that its 6% better than item sold at npc shop... Now i know that i will hit closer to max damage of either the physical damage or the magical damage or both combined as explained in your previous post. and will be clear as per the answer you would give for my question in point 4) above.

8) Critical - 5 (30%) --> First i thought that i had like 30% chance to pack in criticals, but now as i know that its just 30% better than critical value available from NPC purchased weapon.. what that 5 does ? may be compared to mobs critical blocking value or something ? that if mobs crit blocking value is just 2, i would punch in mega criticals on almost every shot or something ?

9) Physical reinforcement - 40.2% ~ 50.8%(4%) --> Okies 4% better than npc shop .. but .... what the heck is physical reinforcement

10) Magical Reinforcement - 60%~80%(8%) --> okies 8% better than npc shop.. BUT.. does it work in the same fashion as regards to question put in point 4) .. if yes, how is it calculated.

#1 Degree equals...level of the item basically. Each Degree has a different picture / look.

There are 8 degrees at the moment, each degree has 3 tiers to it. Example - Lv 1, Lv 5, Lv 8 Weapons are all Degree 1.

#2-4....too confusing

#5...All NPC items have a 0% bonus stat on them. They are the bare minimum of anything you'll find.

I'm guessing the 50/50 Dura and the 53/53 Dura items are the same.

The 53/53 should have a (%) next to it. It will be most likely low because of the small increase from 50/50.

This is easiest to explain with Shields....NPC Shields have 10 (0%) Blocking Ratios. If you find a shield with 11 Block Ratio, it'll be 11 (10%) for a 10% bonus off the base. Again, a 17 Block Ratio Shield would be 17 (70%). Then a 20 Block Ratio Shield would be 20 (100%) for the maximum that the Block Ratio can ever go.... (unless SoS....bur ignore that)

#6 - The Attacking distance is always the same for Bow, Blade, and Glaive. Its in meters, which are tiny in the game. Example - A Horse runs 9 meters per sec in the game.

#7 - High Hit Ratio = Higher chance that your weapon will hit the maximum damage.....Example, Your using a 100-150 damage weapon. More Hit Ratio = Higher chance that your damage will be towards the 150 side.

#8 - Critical on weapons = Higher chance to do a critical strike (150%? more damage on an attack)

#9-10 - Discussed in another topic...
Orotiagito - Lv 92 Pure Str Blader
Oreo_7 - Lv 80 Pure Str 2h-Warrior/Cleric
Eurotiagito - Lv 61 Pure Int Wizard/Cleric

Double physical damage. IE why pure str crits do alot more than int crits.

Lvl 13 Glaive is a 2nd degree weapon.

Degree 1 : lvl 1-3-5

Degree 2: lvl 8-10-13

Degree 3: lvl 16-18-21

Degree 4 : lvl 24-26-29

Degree 5: lvl 32-35-38

Degree 6: lvl 42-45-48

Degree 7: lvl 52-56-60

Degree 8: lvl 64-68-72

3) Physical attack power on a weapon is not the range of attack that u wull hit a mob. You can see ur physical attack power when u have ur weapon equipped by pressing C and look on ur character stats. But again this is not the damage that u will deal to a mob. I dont really know how to calculate the amount of damage that u deal to different mobs cause i dont know not one single mob's defence values.

But u can figure out ur physical attack power with this formula:

First take off any equipment that has int and str on it.

Lets say ur weapons max physical attack power is 60 as u said and lets say that u are lvl 13 with 0 gap (meaning u have ur weapon mastery to 13). At lvl 13 if u are full str u will have 36 points added to str (21+36= 57). Now lets say ur weapon have max phy reinforcment of 50%.

U multuply 57 (points of str) by 1,5 = 85,5 and u add the weapons max attack power, 85,5+ 60 = 145,5. Now this 145,5 must be mutliplied with the weapon mastery which is at lvl 13 (13% physical attack power increased) 145,5 x 1,13 = 164,4 which should be the phy attack power that u see at ur chars window.

4) All weapons in Silkroad have bigger mag attack than phys one. But a glavier with high phy balance and all points to str will do less dmg using a nuke which is entirely a mag attack. Of course imbuing ur glaive with fire/light/ice will deal bigger dmg than a normal phy attack cause it combines both ur phy and mag attack.

5) All weapons have a certain amount of durability which needs repair once it reaches 0. The durability increases with each tier and degree. The 10% means ur weapons has 10% greater durability than the npc one.

6) Blades and sword have 0.6m attack distance, glavie and spear 1,8m and bows have 18m (which increases to 22,4m with maxed out buff)

7) Attack rating : If u have high attack rating on ur weapon u will deal dmg that is closer to ur weapons max attack power. Archers have high attack rating through buffs which helps them to deal hgher dmg constantly.

8) The critical value: I am not sure as how the attribute of critical works, but if u have a critical of 8 and up u will deal critical hits more often than a lets say crit2 (0%) npc weapon. Critical hit is double the physical attack power and full str chars have strong crits cause of their high phys balance.

9) U can see what reinforce is by the formula i explained to find ur physical attack. Reinforce is important and here is where about 30% of ur attack power comes from.

10) Same as above. U can also find ur mag attack power with the formula i explained before, but this time u dont multiply with ur force mastery lvl.

Reinforce in general is and added dmg to ur weapons base dmg therefore its good to have a high % there cause at higher lvls it increases dmg a lot.
