Alchemy - Rondoing items with BLUES = stones?

noob question, I know. But I got the impression from a recent thread, that if you rondo, say a sword with lucky blues or such it will destroy down to elements + lucky stone? Is this true? I have only destroyed non-blue items for elements so I've never seen this, and I've never gotten any stones from destroying an item, so this made me curious. Does it work this way?

sometimes is the actual answer. That's how people get lucky stones.

The stone you get is completely random and unrelated to the blues you have, at least in my experience.
As a general rule of thumb, more blues = higher chance of getting stone(s)
You don't get stones from white equipment.
But you can get a stone from white weapons.
What you can do is have a 3 or less open spots in your inventory, put the item with the destoryer rondos and fuse. It won't work since you don't have enough space, but it will tell you how many slots are needed.
Anything 5 and above has a chance to give you a stone.
The higher the number the better the chance and the more stones you can get.

Thank you Stallowned and hells. I didn't think that happened, I just assumed it ignored the blues when destroying so I just saved those for stalling and only destroyed crap. Later a thread made me rethink this, and it DID seem logical if they had made it so if you destroy an item with Int +2, it would stand to reason you should get an int stone out of it. So I thought I might ask the question, perhaps I just had overlooked this the whole time, and it would be SOO useful, so many times I get a junk drops with Int or Str +1, not worth putting on, but if I could extract the stones from them and put them on my good items that would be awesome.
Should have known better than to expect JM to program this logically, though.

I sometimes buy cheap 8d items with 2-3 lines of blues just to hope for that lucky stone and it does pay off.

I was thinking this myself but it must be weps correct?

So stones have a chance to come from weps and other items (accessories/clothing)?

I did this myself yesterday cause i had nothing to stall, lol. Went around and got 68-72 weapons with a few blues on them..prolly 5 in total. Broke em all down and got a ton of elements, as well as a luck stone, 2 int stones, an agility stone, a focus stone, fogs stone, a courage stone, and a philosophy stone. Got the weapons for 8 mil total and should make about 15mil+ from the stones. If you have a bit of money and feel lucky, go nuts.

Just as I said, it does pay off.

Although I lend too much too people. So most of the times 'short', if I see an item I think is worth it, I go for it.

I wonder if any level/degree wep has a chance? I have tried it about 5 times on lvl 26 and under (drops I get or cheap stuff my level since I ain't rich) and haven't once gotten a stone. I make sure the ones I try have int or str blues since those would be the stones most useful to me and sell pretty quickly. I guess I gotta keep trying

In the past, i have never gotten stones from anything under 7th degree. I have seen people get lucky stones from a 6th degree item, as well i have seen other degree lucky stones. I believe that 7th and 8th degree items have the best chance to make stones, but its definetly possible from other degrees too.

I haven't heard about stones from 1-4th degree items, lvl 5 seem very rare, 6+ I have seen and gotten myself.
