Can someone understand the 1-day GT?

As it says in the Item-Mall, you get a total for 24 hours boosted exp @ 3 hours a day, yet when I use one I only get 3 hours, and poof.
So if anyone could understand the thing, it would be appreciated.

Well
it works on the principle that you have 24hours to use it once activated.
Meaning the normal process of it running over onto the next day applies
so infact you do get 24hours of use in total if you look at it like that.
Other wise a 1 day GT is not worth it at all. if you can buy a 4 week GT

explained in another way:
you have 24 hours to use the 3 hours of double experience.
