Farming vs. leveling advice...

Ok, I hate farming who doesn't. I know I won't be able to stick at the same lvl, sp farming 70k or more for 3 months or more, etc, etc. aka. the lvl 16 thing.

BUT, I do want enough sp to get the basics. (Later if I ever get there, I'll fully farm out my character, but much later, I want to keep it interesting and character development ticking over)

Currently lvl29. At 31 I get to throw my glaive at people, which...would be kinda cool. Therefore in a couple of levels I'll again have a zero gap. And not much sp left after the "shopping".

After this, sp costs will get higher to keep developing at a reasonable rate, so I've figured I've got two ways to do it.

1. Slowly level, increasing a gap all the way to 42. or...
2. Keep a zero gap. Fly up to 42, then curse heart my mastery down to gain the gap. And then...sp farm. I wouldn't mind farming at this level so much since...doing jobs would be more fun for a break. I know there is a $$ cost in decreasing mastery lvl...how much? dunno, if you do, please let me know, I have the feeling it isn't too cheap *gulp*

So, which way do you think would be better? Personally I think 2. but would be more expensive...but having the faster leveling will keep me interested :P

I have personally tried #2 when I first started playing and it wasn't worth it. If you really want that great character your better off doing it right the first time. just my .02
