Do Ruby stones always bring the % down to 0?

If your luck with those have been bad I would pause for awhile and grind.
Now, since your new here I don't know if your a 2x person looking at 3mil net worth or a 5x who is beginning to find the wonders of alchemy. I can't recommend going and grinding for awhile and trying again or saying keep at it and hope your luck gets better.

I must have really bad luck then, cause every ruby stone I've used (about 20ish have failed or set the % to 0.

Its just the randomness of the game. I have done a lot of alchemy on my items and sometimes it only takes me a few stones, while once when I wanted to change the crit on a weapon it took me 37 stones to change it to a crit of 8 (40%) for a sos bow.

It took me something like 46 stones (dividing how much wind 4 I had used by 45 to get this #) to fix the crit on my 72. It went from 2>5>2>5>2>5>2>2> for the longest time, I gave it a guildie to do it, she got crit 7 on second stone, 4/5 stones later, she hit crit 12 <3

It's weird, but some ppl have random luck on random days. I nvr failed a +3 ^^, but I always fail blue tabs. Even when they're 10% assimilation. However, I have guildies who "accidentally" +5 shields or are incredibly lucky with crit stones. So, if you try something a few times and it doesn't work, pass it to someone you trust and see how lucky they are.
