Pure INT Help

I started my first Pure INT character a few days ago. I'm using a sword with fire.

What I would like to know is if I should level up my weapon skills as well as fire or should I switch to spear and level up those weapon skills.

I know there are a couple of guides on this but I would like a direct answer, thank you.

It all depends on your preferences and funds. For PvE highest dmg would be with spear and you get extra HP from the passive.
For best survivability also in PvP your best choice would be S/S.
Whichever you choose one of the skills you will need to either stun or k/d.

Ok thanks. I'm more of a PvE kinda guy, I don't like enemies that can heal themselves.

Another question, should i get lighting aswell, I mean not just for the grasswalk?

yes you will need it for the piercing series as well, and the passive.
