I would say that it depends on how active you grind, on what creatures you grind, what weapon you use, since some users start with an other weapon then what they want in the end. (like me, I'm starting as a pure in till lvl 30-32 with a bow for its speed)

if your statring new I don't think you can get to lvl 40 with a 0 gap. you probably will run out of SP pretty quick. 9 hrs a week would probably take about 6 months (just a guess).that's not a lot of play time. unless your only going to lvl up 1 mastery I would suggest some sort of gap. or atleast farm a little at 16. you will have to use a bow till lvl 30 when you get your nukes then delvl your bow,(dont get many bow skills, just the basic). I'm a nuker lvl 36 currently and I'm low on SP and I farmed 10k at lvl 16. I have 4 masteries though. I started with bow and ice, seemed to work best at low lvls. then got fire and light latr on. hope this helps.

Are you jsut starting On a new Char or is it from a certain level if it is 9 Hours a week maybe a month or two months (Depending if you constantly grind) I managed 10 levels in 4 hours and hit 20 in about 10~11, but if you really want to hit 40 you can do it in a month or maybe less ^_^

well about the sp part, i've calculated a lot of different builds, and if u only use 1 force + 1 mastery, then u will get more than enough sp by having a 3 lvl gap all the way to lvl70 if u want to. alternatively, if u want to farm @ lvl42 (lvl 33 masteries) and change weapon, then u can go with a 1~2 lvl gap and have full anti-devil+combo+white hawk+light imbue+grasswalk+phantom (full means each skill lvled to their highest possible lvl @lvl33).

Well i reached LVL 33 in just 25 days...grinding for 2 hrs per day (everyday). This is wat i did...
Im pure int from lvl 1 to lvl 33... and a nuker atm
Up to lvl 10 jus got fire book1 1st lvl and didnt increase my mastery until i hit lvl11. From lvl 11 to lvl 20 i had 0 GAP, added few more buffs here, then tried to maintain 3 lvl gap until lvl 33.... gave me a gud amt of SP to increase my skills...
I never SP farmed at 16, but got a gud set of clothes (most of it with STR in it).. i used SOS SPEAR at lvl 16 ... and my mastery is 90/300 atm
All i used is Heuksal / fire / lightning
Hope this helps.
BTW i still have my 1 day GT / ST

I started playing silkroad in september and got my first guy to lvl 30 and my second to lvl 37. this is without a gold ticket. I play about 15 hours a week and don't grind steady. I do alchamey and trade runs and other stuff as well. I guess I was off quite a bit on my guess

. two months is probably more accurate, less time if all you do is grind steady. sorry for my innacuracy

9 hours per week >.<
So ~1.20 hours per day. With pure grinding this whole time, maybe one and a half month or 2 months.

there will be no real accurate response to your question

. all I can say is grind for an hour and see how much of a lvl% you increase and base it on that. I know it's not the most accurate but it will give you a close estimate. there are way to many variables to be real accurate. you could get ks'd alot or not wan't to use a horse to get around. you might die a few times. all this and more will cause too many variables to be truely accurate. I would say hope for the best (1 month) but plan for the worst (2 months)

. best I can do, sorry.
