0 gap to lvl40

people have been saying that they are going to go 0 gap until lvl40 or so on pacific so that they can gain a head start on guilds and stuff. but how exactly is that done?

i assume you would have to sacrifice skills to lvl up masteries. but at higher lvls, it's pretty hard + inefficient to grind without good skills. i can't imagine grinding without my trusty chain spear and soul spear right now.

i've calculated out the very basic skills i need for my archer build (anti-devil, arrow combo, light imbue, grasswalk) and it costs 14670 sp, but 0 gaping from lvl1 to lvl40 only gives u 10139 sp.

so what's the secret to 0 gaping?

I'm not too sure about it because i didnt try it but im assuming all they do is have just 2 forces, usually their main force + wep and just farm for subs later on. I'd think a build someone would try that with would be a pure int light nuker due to the fast lvling plus all the skills u need to lvl at a basic lvl are there, including grass walk.

that would be a waist once your gap gets over 9 the ratio stays the same
I made a farming character for my guild when i made it and got it to lvl 2 in 2-3 days is that what they mean

No it is not what they mean. They mean exactly what Manowar says. Just use Spear or S/S or bow, int char *hyb or pure* 0 gap, only light skills: imbue, grasswalk and perhaps lion shout + 1 mastery. You dont need more skills. You can get to lvl 30-40 within a week easy like that if you use a gt or play 3+ hours a day. If you are short on SP just let one of them a little lower, then on you either make it a 9 gap using silk/curst (cursed?!) heart quest or create a gap. (as a nuker you could try to make a good lvl 42 weapon) and start farming for instance. (I like farming at higher lvls more then at bandit stronghold.)

so basically 0 gapping is for int based builds that do not use weapon skills, right? and it's not applicable to pure str builds?

yes, correctly said... 0 gapping till lvl 64 or so can be done by pure nukers, then they can farm on mobs at those lvls, and there are for sure a few spots for farming.
