Using astrals/immortal when +5 ing stuff other than weapons

So yeah, i've made quite a few posts about alchemy here is another one:

do you guys use astrals/immortal on equipment/gear when trying to +5 it or do you only use that on weapons?

As far as I know it goes for anything at all you are trying to +5 or higher.

yeah, i know that all items past +4 have a chance of breaking, but i'm actually asking whether people astral/immortal for +5 on gear/equipment. Like i saw one post where the guy said he didn't astral/immortal equipment since it rarely breaks...

Well it's all personal preference..
Some people don't astral their weapons, some do.
Some people don't astral their equipment, some do.
It all boils down to how lucky you think you are, and how much real money you're willing to blow (if any.)

Its still possible to happen, just based on your choice. like saying i dont use lucky powder when i +1 cause it rarely fails.

i cant get my lvl 35 spear to +3

I dont spend money on Astrals.... +5ed my sword without it (~40 elix) and will +4 my equip... that must be enough.
