Hybrid Int

Would a hybrid int character go close combat and like stun or attack the enemy if it's like 1v1?

ummmm. What else would u do. Phantom away every time they get close?
Of course. U cant keep a ranged distance forever.

Yes, it is one of the main reasons why you go hybrid int.
Int naturally does more damage than str and hybrids can dish out some very nice damage too. The nukes wont hit as hard as the ones from a normal int, but the normal hit is what matters for the hybrids and is where your kills will come from.
