Couldn't find this using search.
I have a monkey that is going to expire. I want to get a squirrel. If I let the monkey go and buy the squirrel, does the monkey stay in my inventory, or will it disappear?

It will stay there, but inactivated. As in it's shown in gray.
You can then choose to revive it later on or whatever,
but it won't disappear just because you buy a new squirrel/rabbit =)

If you do want to remove it from you inventory you can just sell it to the NPC.

I didn't know that you can sell the monkey once it's expired to get rid of the invtentory space. cool now my question is why would you want a squirrle after you've had a monkey, besides just having something new to look at. Don't they all work the same? monkey, rabbit and squirrel is one faster then the other? does one carry have more inventory spacs? just out of curiousity?

I realize that all the pets are the same, but JM won't put in the ability to rename the pet.
And my daughter is learning to read and wants to know why my pet has a bad word in its name.
So to rename it, I have to buy another.
Anyway, thanks for the replies.
