hi all,

i am very new to silkroad and have plenty of questions that i can't find answers to (in forum searches):

q1. i have noticed a lot of players having a glow around them, what's that? and how can i get it?

q2. what is seal of star weapon/armour and how can i get them?

i will post a few more questions after i get these immediate ones answered

I have not seen people glowing, but maybe you are talking about a big glowing circle, its called Harmony therapy and its a spell, or maybe you actually mean that the weapon they have glows, if thats the case, then thats a SOS or seal of star weapon, SOS items are very rare and expensive (overpriced in most cases) you can get sos from monster drops or at stalls.

if you mean a green glow then thats either a moving scroll or an
lighting skill that makes you run faster.

Or is it a circling glow either red or white? Then it's either a fire buff or an ice buff ^^

Hello, and welcome playing silkroad

I think, it's harmony therapy which is a brown-yellowish glowing in a big circle around them - u could get it at force - force. OR maybe a talisman if it's glowing at the side of the char's face - and this u could get it either buying it or if ure lucky, drop from monster

Seal Of Star are something that is really rare to get and are sold at high price. Well, u could see a person have a sos weapon on them by the weapon's purplish glowing

i think the glow hes talking about is the berserker mode? well u get berserker mode when ur circle thing beside ur char image at the top gets full. u can press tab to berserk

yes, i am refering to the green glow. how can i get this scroll?

this is very neat info.. i am currently wearing armour, how do i get a talisman to fit with it? are garments better than armour?

well, to tell u the truth i have received a lvl 8 seal of star weapon as a monster drop and have been wondering, what can it do and where to get more from?

You get the moving speed scroll from jewelry boxes, or u can buy from other players. To get the grasswalk buff, u can use it when u're lightning mastery is lvl 12. The red/white buff is available from the fire or ice mastery tree. (you shouldn't have too much masteries though, try keep to 3 trees, maybe 4 if u sp farm)

No, garments are not necessarily better than armor. Garments give u a speed and mp bonus, but armor provides the best physical protection.

A seal of star weapon is a weapon much better than a regular one. Keep it just for the pretty glow, or u can probably sell it for a lot of money later on. You can buy more from another player, or u can hope that u're lucky and get another one.

mayb. and what do u want me to tell u about? grasswalk? well right now i have lvl 2 grass walk...and also grasswalk just basically makes u walk faster, its the third skill in the lightning class

oh and webshrek, armour dont have talismen, only garments do, so if u want one u must switch to garm

q1. i have like 12 jewel boxes but when i talk to so-ok, she just ends it saying "ur not the one i am looking for," what am i missing?

q2. what is that globe sort of placeholder at the bottom right of my inventory? what should i place there?

Hello again.

A talisman doesnt fit with armor and protector. They only fit with garment. so there's no other choice if u'd want to use it you have to wear garment.

Those SoS(Seal of Star) , SoM(Seal of Moon) and SoSun(Seal of Sun) are sometimes drop as weapons,accessories or armor. They are stronger and better than the normal ones and of course it is very expensive. They are really rare to get. And it's from any monsters though. Really² rare. So guess u've got luck :p. Congrats.

I thought So-Ok was not available anymore? The event has finished. I'm not sure about this though. Sorry.

Those right bottom end on ur inventory are used to put job suits or capes.

q2:That would be where you equip either youir cape, which you can get at lvl 20 to pvp, or thief suit, hunter sign, or trade flag.

and about your lvl 8 sos weapon you can probably sell that fo r alot of money, if you can post a screen here I can try to tell you what its worth.

Maybe 1 mill at most.

i believe cape is available at lvl10.

Sounds like you are talking to So-Ok the Singer in Barrom Street.

The "Event So-Ok" was removed on the the 9th January Update that ended the Christmas/New Year Event.

1. If You PvP You Will Lose Some EXP And SP
2. You Mean When You Trade ? The Comp Ones ??? You Shouldnt Start At Lv 20 If Your Tradeing Because Its Alooot Harder,At Last 25+
3. The Monkeys,Bunny Things....You Can Get Them From Itam Mall,You Need To Buy Them With Silk (You Get Silk With Real Money)....
But You Can Get A Wolf It Costs 1M Coins

You will lose exp, but no sp. The atker may gain some exp/sp, but also murder status if no cape/suit was equipped. If cape equipped, neither side gains or loses anything. If suit was equipped by both sides, u still lose exp, atker gains exp/sp, but not murder status.

Don't grind near trade routes. Run ^^

q3. how to get a pet?

You may buy a wolf from stable for 1 mil, or 130 silk from item mall. You can also buy a monkey, squirrel, or rabbit from item mall.

i think i want to initially buy a wolf with silk. so once i buy it from sro how do i get it actually -

i. does it show as a scroll in my inventory?

ii. how does sro know who paid for it? i guess since i am logged in they would have a means of knowing but how will they know which character to show it under (since i mostly nowadays play at redsea but i do have a very old character under sparta)?

iii. i have never seen an item mall selling pets? which npc does?
