Not quite sure what you meant but, the maximum durability won't go down just because you break the weapon. A broken weapon can be repaired aswell, I think it costs a little more though.

I think if you let an item fall to 0/XX durability it has a chance of losing a duro point, but its not for sure. I was helping some low lvls do monster scrolls and for fun, i wanted to see how high i could get my repair bill (42k btw). Every piece of 7D protector i had was solid red (broken) and my bow was at about 10% duro left. I lost 1 point off of 2 pieces of my prot, but nothing off of others. I would say its chance (like everything else in the game  )

BTW, red scorps are tough when there are 16 and you have no armor, LOL

I've never heard of that happening.. and I've had countless items get to 0 durability... maybe I just haven't paid attention though, but that's the first I hear of it.

Well, i admit that i could be wrong. I just noticed that some of my items couldnt be repaired to the fullest after they had been taken down to 0. (ie: duro for an item stuck at 125/126)

I think it's just a bug that happened after the alchemy was introduced (tablets and elements etc) because if I recall correctly that's when it first started happening.
My guess is that we see those items have for example 4/5 durability when fully repaired, the thing is that the actual durability isn't actualy 5, it's say 4.8 so it gets rounded up on the window, but the actual weapon is at 4.8 durability (or at 4)...
There really is no proof behind this theory, just guessing.

Yea, i remember at one point in time JM fixed this and reset the decreased duros on items (4/5 max got fixed to 5/5).

But yea...over time i now have items that were perfect, that arent anymore :(

I just hate going to repair and always seeing a cost of 141 gold, heh

Ah! That must be what happened to me; my weapon is always one below now. Me and my stubborn refusal to go back to town...
