Why can't I use this skill?

When I try to use Fire Shield Peonix I get an error message saying "You wear equipment which prohibits you from using the selected skill.
If I have no items at all equiped and no other spells active, I still get this message. What am I doing wrong?

You need to be wearing a shield to cast "Fire Shield" after you use it, you can unequip the shield that the effect will be still there however if the spell buf time reach 0 you will have to switch again to a shield and cast it again, etc

Oh crud i didnt include fire shield in my sp calculations....i thought "Meh, its for shield I won't include it". D'oh!
Is it worth putting fire shield up? Im a pure strenth fire glaiver.

Yes. It will save you alot of money on pills (can use medium instead of large, and large instead of special at later stages). Its also essential if you want to become immune to ice/fire/lightning/zombie effects.
