If a thief kills an innocent person, are they a murderer? Also, is there anyway to decrease the points you get that make you "wanted?"

Yes if you kill a normal person while in job suit you will become murderer. I think you can bribe the hunter guild guy in town to decrease arrange points...

define how they killed the person

did they run up and attack or get npc's to spawn on them or what?

They just ran up and killed them. A thief (real person, not NPC) killed me once while I was just training, not in job suit, and I was below level 20, and he didn't get a red name..Also how can you spawn the NPC thieves?

dont know how he killed you, what was his name? and what server are you on?

but how he spawns npc thiefs is when he has goods, like traders, spawns npc to slow him down and possible kill him

if it was an npc thief u were popped

popping is when a human thief will run his trade animal infront of a traders to get the thief's npc thief spawn to attack the trader
