i ve seen a lot of comments about mercs just wanna see the global sro opinion about it^^

I like to see mercs fighting. A whole group of mercs running behind the ass of some high lvl with the well known glowing dildo lol.

Ive yet to see a mercenary... <.<

Some thoughts

-Mercs might be cheap, but they ARE part of the game now, even if ppls don't like them

-If you rob a trade, and they pull a lot of mercs, you better have mercs too, or outsmart them

-Mercs might be 100k/5k gp, but we have over 300,000 GP and many millions of gold anyway. You make 5x that from one white item

-Mercs are nice to have for the IMBA people will sos sets and armors, or the people with 999 res scrolls. Maybe they cry merc is unfair - well...maybe their gear is unfair too... is anything ever fair? Not really

-People might do stupid things like use mercs in gate war, or PVP but... people already do stupid things, like hide in safe zone entire war, or go purple to get your murderer, and much more without mercs.

-Some people say merc is imba; either your guild doesnt have them (and thats not oponents fault) or you don't know how to fight them; This one hunter use mercs and I kill him 3x before the mercs even attacked me. Sometimes I used mercs, and people do ground-freeze and ice them all, then kill 2-3 of them

So its not like 'OMG impossible unfair'.

-Even 6 fire merc won't kill someone with SOS garments on.

So I vote #2.

most of time ppl buy around 6 - 10 fire mercs, who cast fire nuke at the same time so whoever meet them usually dies in the following 2-3secs if they meet mercs. so that is mercs user dmg + 6-10 fire nukes on you xD

yes mercs are apart of the game and alot of ppl think they are really good a them i know alot of flaws to them so i got a 50/50 shot when someone uses them.

-mercs dont attack when moving

-if ur far enogh from them they dont target you so run around till they ddistant from there master and run to him so he stops and they cant target you.

-theres a few more but i dont want ppl to exploit them i need them

Just a nice tip... Its best to have a lvl 70 [duh] blader or heavily sos clad bicheon int use the mercs. Mercs, much like your wolf, can still hit a kd'd person. So... kd your enemy and watch the mercs and your triple stab rape them.

I've yet to use a merc. They look nice, they kill pretty well, its just they seem so... lame.

Use them if you want I dont care.

anyone seen the weapon mercs running around?

ive seen light and fire but never bow,sword,spear and ice mercs

anyone know if the gm is 68+ and has blader mercs, do they triple stab?

is there a max amount you can summon at once? Cuz guild wars would be a little easy for the people summoning an army of 100 mercenaries.
btw, I can't see the stupid guild store cuz I'm not lvl 3 yet. They could at least let me see it and not buy anything! someone screenshot it, I wanna see the different types of mercs there are.

Because they suck. Badly. Can't kill a thing. Especially the hyuskel mercs. Anyone can tank them.

I voted for "i dun care about mercs at all, I've only ever seen them in town a couple of times. So I care for them as much as I do jobbing, it's boring as hell and sends me to sleep.

so the lvl of the guild master decides the lvl of the mercs?

lol I just read all the whiney posts about multiple fire nuking and whatnot. Must be from non-mastery gappers (farming is for idiots, gapping is for smart ppl) Why don't you have some decent garments with alchemically upgraded stats and cast a fire wall spell. I got hit by a single nuke for 10,000+ damage and it didn't kill me cuz it prevents you from being 1 hit killed. They also don't mention it but I do believe that it protects more against fire than anything else. So yeah that may absorb the first couple nukes and the rest shouldn't kill you. I've gathered that the mercenaries are the same lvl as the guild master so you should be able to kill massive amounts of them easily if the lvls are around yours. If you're 40 and he's 50 he could kill you with or without mercs so don't complain if he summons them, he's just lazy. And if you're each 40 then use multi-target attacks and the fire wall technique and all the multi-target freeze and the healing protection ring thingy and if you die it's your own dumb, weak fault.

I agree with you completely.

I had some union mates at job war with 24k, which are well know botters, scammers and bums. These guys are decked out in SoS+5+++ gear and SoS+7++ weaps. It takes 5-6 of us to take one of them down and all they do is talk trash like they earned the badass title or something. Well, I went and got mercs after the 4th time of 3 of them gangbanging me. Here it comes, 24k whinning "why you gotta get mercs, it's unfair". What?! unfair??? unfair, is us legit players playing every minute of our characters with our +3+++ eq +5++ weaps none of us has SoS anything. While you cheated, botted, scammed other legit players for what you got, but they are whinning. But hey, that was my experience using mercs from last night.

Also, I got the murder rap due to lag and some dumbass using my mercs against me. It's all good though just cost me 2 hours of grind to work it off....

Anther experience, this was after we robbed 7 5* trade, we were battling with several hunters. I was all over this hunter that I knew I could take pretty easy. I chased this guy all over the place he got me to where it was just me and him and just as I was about to do a kd, he put the mercs out on me, there was nothing I could do besides die. It was funny and smart. We both laughed. I got a rez chased him down we killed his mercs and then him.

What I'm saying is I've experience both sides of the mercs. It's all in fun, if you let yourself get mad at something such as this topic, well maybe you should not play the game. I vote the 2nd option.

anyone want to make a video tanking a pretty good amount of fire mercs lvl 70 cuz i m fully farmed i ve 15178 hp, 998 mag def with the fire buff maxed ( protector ) but definitely i hardly tank&kill a lvl 70 with around 8 fire mercs as surprising as it can be

bladers/bow/glaviers give normal hits if i remmeber good dmg are prolly like npc thieves. ice>light>fire too that s why everyone prefer to buy fire mercs. there are still some buying light mercs tho

i stopped using mercs.

mainly because of **** like MilkTea using desuitign tricks to get u murder.

can someone pls explain to me what a merc is

sorry, they're all too busy feeling special using dumb acronyms they made up without defining them. Mercs are mercenary NPCs that you can summon as a guild leader that you buy in the guild store for GP and gold to fight for you. That's about all I know cuz Joymax and everyone here refuses to say a damn thing about them and my guild isn't high lvl enough to check em out myself.
