I am one of those people that have bad luck with alchemy; but still managed to +5 my sos glavie.

But somehow i cant add STR and INT stones to it. Always fail (about 10 times str stones and 3 times int stones). Should i still try or stop it adn leave it with no blues ?

Are stones harder to add than elixirs?... because for me it seems like it.

Any adviceS?

hmmm, myself if something fails more than 2-3 times i give up.

I failed 6+5+3 strength stones. Then I got 5 more from a friend the other day, and 5 stones got me 2 str.

So thats 19 strength stones at 3m a peice, for 2 STR.

I fully believe (Yup here it comes, go ahead and flame me) anyone with +55 or +60 strength is either a bot, a gold buyer, or a liar. Along with the many excuses "my friends gave them to me" or "I get a lot of tablets" or "Im lucky with STR stones unlike 99% of the community."

i am lvl 52 farming with 9 gaps.

@ryoko: all the STR stones, have been made by myself; i dont buy them, because they are too expensive andi dont have all the gold for that. i picked up most of the tablets and some friends from my guild have given it to me. For the elements, i do buy them from my guildmates and i also collect a lot of them since i am farming.

so should i stop or keep trying?.. im farming 9 gaps, so i will spend a long time here, thats why i wanted to add STR stones and INT. i plan to farm from lvl52 to 64 (hopefully). I dont want to farm @ caves for the obvious reasons so i want to farm some here.

I am not in a hurry to be high lvl, because i wanna see the next updates from joymax, so i can plan my char better and choose the better skills to upg.

well, since you are 52 and farming, i would say try pretty hard to get decent blues, but dont go crazy...


if one item keeps failing stones, try 4-5 then move to another item and add str or int to that. well, thats what i would do anyway, i hate it when things fail, especially more than once, and even more especially when it is in a ..... row.

But then again, there are those people who don't add stones to items. No, they buy items that someone else has worked and have the big blues.

Now the person they bought from may have CCF or whatever in order to do what they've done to get the sweet blues, so is it wrong to buy such items when you see them? If the price isn't too crazy?

I think labelling people may not be the best path Ryoko.

he isnt accusing you of anything, he is saying that anyone with full INT/STR on all of their gear is a bit suspicious... but since you keep failing stones, you are like ryoko, who also fails stones. hehe.

i iant doing alchemy till 8th degree.

My rule of thumb is after 3 fails on elixirs, stop; 4/5 fails on stones, stop.

imo, if your dont have luck in alchemy, you better sell stones/elix and get the money to buy a full blue +5 / +7 weapons. my friend wasted like >60m just to +str on his weapon in the end just got str+2.

lol, with 60m you can get 100% +5 weapon. i dont care whether it is from ccf or not. as long as the price is good, i'll take it.

Off topic: Anyone know wheres the nice spot/mobs to find 8 degree STR tablet? for me, STR & Stamina tablet like mini-SoS... . Yeah its random but fyi, I currently farming at earth warrior ghost (small room) n its hard too drop STR tablet. Everytime i report, i almost got Int & Challenge tablet. Conclusion, current grind spot: -
INT (20-25 tablets) : STR (4-6 Tablets)
(dam, i need water 8 degree n few ppl sell it )

on topic: All 4 str tablet i have gave me 1 STR (last nite)

does SoX resellers or element sellers go under the "liars"-category? cus its fully possible to get loads of money for stones etc this way =.="

as for adding stones, I get the feeling it can be item-related. some items are easier then others. or they're easier after you grinded a lot with them. or its easier to add stones successfully at one time of the day then other.. or it could be all random, who knows ^_^

It's all random. I failed a lot of str stones, and then sometimes, I have luck. When I alchemised my armor set, 4 stones out of 6 worked and 2 gave me 5 str, the 2 others made 3 and 4.
The day after I failed from +5 to +6 my SOS spear and needed 11 astrals to get it back to +5....
Yesterday I got my shield block from 16 to 18 in one try, and then used 8 challenge stones on my sword : 3 failed and all other reset from 0% to 0% increase.

We all have successes and failures - and maybe some items are harder to improve too. As we spend more time on them, we remember only the failures...

lol i share your pain.. wasted alot of lvl6 str stones.. first 2 failed 3rd succes put 1 str then the rest all succes but stay 1 str.. ROFL same goes to challenge stones.. all in this for 1 weapon.. and the funny part is the adding of str and crit were so hard but plusing it to 3 was so easy

oh yeah the crit of blade was 3 went to 1 stayed to 1 after 3 days i try again went to 4 im still not giving up.. str is still 1

total gold used: 6m

well at the beggining in case u ppl dont remenber str tabs were sold at +/- 1mil gold so i bought, gathered and used a lot of stones my garment set gacve me phy balance 107% then i had 10 tabs of str and decided to pimp my prot many of the stones gave me +5 str right away so my phy % with prot is now 105% basicly it all depends on ur luck.. zoukata from xian had over 55str and int on his set and he never boted or buyed gold that i know off...

im on a roll ive used about 14 lvl 8 str stones and (drum roll please) only 3 worked w00t!!!!!!!!!!

Last week I used 23 str stones [ie. about 69m] and only 3 succeeded over the week. I got a total of 7 str for 69m, woot! *rolls eyes*

Int stones on the other hand I do great on... I have barely ever failed one and have one 48 int set and used to have a 58 int set. [That and they are easy to find...]

I don't bot or buy gold. On 8th degree items, I have had about 30-50% of the stone I use succeed. I got 5str on a 64+2 ring on the 1st try, used up 3-4 str stones on another 64+2 ring and only got 2str. Got 4str on my 68 sos necklace in 1 try. However! I used up about 7-8 int stones on my gear and NOT ONE OF THEM WORKED. What I am saying is that it's all based on luck. The probability is probably the same for everyone, but does not necessarily give the same results for everyone.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I've noticed alchemy fails more often on 8th degree items than on 1-7th degree items. Is it like that for you guys as well?

lol u ever tryed doin de same alching wid a same wepon but on a difernet char works for me tho i tried 5 chalanges on a glaive lvl 16 sos +3 all fail. i created a new char and done de same fing on dat char 1s stone worked..
