Something about ALCHEMY

ok guys i want to know something about alchemy

heres the situation :
i have a shield that has str2 and i used a stone to make the str to 4.. but it only change to str3.. now does the stones always adds or it minuses also.. like the shield is str3 now and i still want to make it to str4.. so i use another stone question is will the str3 have a possiblity to go back to str2 or str1 or will it just fail and still remains str3? that is my question because i dont mind it failing what i do mind is the str3 would turn to str2 or str1

Well there is a chance that the stone will minus the STR on your item... I dont know how big of a possibility but one none the less

It's not that it minuses, it just replaces. There's a chance that the valiue can be lower or higher on success, on failure though, you do not lose the attributes already there. On success though, attribute assimilation could change it though!
