Short alchemy question

Post by defabiman »

With stones there is always a certain % chance 10% 20% or 30%

I was convinced 30% was the biggest chance alchemy will work.

But I have heard so many theories now, that I'm not sure anymore... :banghead:

Can somebody who knows 100% :P sure what the answer is...anwer this question...

What is best? 10,20 or 30%? :?

Ow don't watch the hours of play lol.... it's mainly stall time lol Had a lot of stuff to sell...

and at least 2,5 hours of alchemy in total :S

I'm not 100% sure( i don't think anyone is...) , but i think i read somewhere on the forums that 10% was the best... the percentage assimilation is how likely you are going to have another stat changed if you succeed.
It went something like this :
10% something else is changed, 90% it succeeds
20% something else is changed, 80% it succeeds
30% something else is changed, 70% it succeeds

Dunno tho, i personally think all stones are closer to 40% success rate because a little more than half of mine fail. :banghead:

The percentages you see are the percent chance of assimilation (if you read the stone it tells you that and tells you what assimilation is).

Assimilation is the change in some attribute other than the attribute you were wanting to change.

ex. You want to add STR to an item and the assimilation is 30%. There is a 30% chance that some other attribute (anything listed on the item) will change no matter if the STR stone succeeds or fails. You want stones with a 10% assimilation.

The assimilation percentage has nothing to so with the rate of success or fail of the stone.
