How to make the perfect Archer?

Hey in silkroad I am an archer.
I spend a lot of sp on pacheon and fire and a bit to lightning (not much)
Is it good or bad,
If bad: How can i create a perfect archer-what stat points?
-what armor?
- where to put sp?
-and other things like that.
thx virry much (if answerred my quest.)

I dunno how you make the perfect archer... but I'm a fire/lightning archer as well. (more of a lightning archer) I cant give you much help, as I'm only lvl 26 (farming) but I can tell you what's worked well for me so far.
-I guess I could reccomend putting more stat points into str (but I'm nearly 50/50).
-I use garment
-and other things, I put most of my sp into lightning imbue, and some into fire , and one pacheon skill I really like is flame wave arrow

The perfect archer is no archer at all.

Archer suck anyway but if you want it:
Full Str, good crit bow. And take Armor. For force take Ice.
Remember there are high lvls archers but most of them started as blade/spear. Until lvl 30 a archer is good, after that it sucks!

go away haters, archers are fun. There are 2 guides stickied in the characters & skills section. I'd read those.

And also remember that as you can help the melee's in Guild wars by picking off the others. If you go with str, when the opponents come after you, they will be in for a big surprise.

I'm not saying they aren't fun, I had an archer myself.
If it's your cup of tea, go for it. I just assumed he was new to this game and needed to know the FACTS.

Ice is the weakest force. No wonder you think it sucks if you used Ice...

If your heart it set on using a bow, and your up for something exciting...
you could always try a 2:1 INT:STR archer. This sounds silly. . . ok and i accept that i'm always ranting on about hybrids but i think this build could really work. Get a good bow, wear protector or garment. Use fire/lightning imbue, get all phy and mag bufs, lots of int and str increase alchemy the usual... you might not be GREAT in 1v1 pvp BUT..
this build is a BEAST in zerk or in group fights (i.e - guild wars, job wars). The added plus of being an int with a bow is the criticals. I've seen screenshots of a charactor this build on athens hitting a 9k crit on someone the same level. SICK SICK SICK.. you could always try it out and post to let us know how it goes. or listen to these assholes and completely abandon the idea of archers and be a boring glaiver... xP think about it. let us know of your decision.
