So, I started playing last week....again. I used to have a level 21 character, but farked up and lost all my armor and got frustrated, so I recently started a new character, and am level 19. I'm training to be a tank, and have been reading up on some tips on the matter. I've apparently been making the mistake of using cold instead of fire. I'm going to start leveling up my fire instead.
I'm on the Xian server as Damad.

I have a hard time understanding exactly how jobs work, even though I've been doing some reading(i'm a tad slow). I'm going to do alot more reading. Is there any certain job recomended for someone training to be a tank, or is it all just personal preference? What would be the easiest job to start out on? I'm wanting to be a thief, but if hunter or trader is easier for a beginner, I'll go with one of those. I have read to wait till I'm around level 30 to try thief anyways.

So, basically, hi, nice to meet you guys, and if anyone has any tips for me, please send me links to any must-read-guides or just tell me any tips you might have. I'm going to be reading the guides I find on this forum very carefully!

Oh, also, I noticed for tanks, its apparently recomended to just add to STR and not add to INT at all....well....I find myself going through magic pots like Farking CRAZY, even with lots of resting between fights with mobs. Am I just going to have to learn to deal?

adding int to your weaps etc is actually very good as as a str

As a pure str build, you'll indeed consume quite some mana potions. That's completely normal.
