Hi,

I always see ppl with names like

Hhfgdj
Dkeid
roflmao (^^)

or equal....

I know these guys *are* botters! deffinately*

Anyhuuu
I have been trying to add some ppl to my guild but i've noticed many ppl have theyre char-name's start with "xx" and ends with "xx" aswell...? (Mysterious) :? :? :?

For example a name can look like this:

xXWondyXx

Ok! Call me paranoid but when i see like 10-40 pppl with this kinda name i get a little confused.
Is it because the bot theyre using needs it to be "xx" or is it just that having "xx" in ur name is a new trend since "Vin Diesel" did "Triple xXx"??

Plz I have ppl joining my guild soon with lots of "xx"'s in their name..
An answer would be nice since i want my guild bot-free!!! :banghead:

Die all botter using S.O.B's!!!

"xXx"? I think it is just a name style.

in order to tell a botter you normally have to actually watch them as they grind. once they join the guild...... if they never respond to anything you say to them and you know they are out grinding..... that may be a sign.... but in all cases it's better to actually watch them grind in order to tell.....

Ask them.

Watch the way they grind. Sometimes their running will be erratic and they will change direction a lot for no particular reason. Most of the time they go for the nearest mob. Almost all straight up botters are glaivers with armor, who heal themselves.

Actually the glaive armor wearing selfhealing grinding blue mobs are gold bots. Serious - ask them. When all the answer with is hi - or hello - or iambusy - to any question you ask then they are a bot.

people use xX or oO, zZ to make the name stand out or because the name they wanted was taken.

As for bots, you'll get an eye for them as you play more. glaivers that self heal in armor fighting mobs 5-10 levels below their weapon are gold bots and have stupid names like asdjgh, and I've seen some bowers recently too.

Skill bots (leveling and using skills) are harder to pick out at first glance, but over time its easy to see them. Just becasue they don't respond to a pm doesn't make them a bot, nor does their not attacking you if you go purple (although its likely). If you think someone is botting you can report them. Something may or may not be done.

you report them through bug report submission.

another thing to look for in a bot is buffs during a fight. bots often will recycle a buff in the middle of combat, click on them to see which ones, thats a nice feature since that biug update a couple months back.

another way when fighting a giant, and other mobs hit them, they will leave off the giant to kill whatevwer mob hit them before going back to giant. I know thats no guarantee, but if im fighting a giant i dont leave off unless im having my ass handed to me.

anoter test, do a ground freeze on them. if they make no reaction at all in text or smacking you back, probably a bot, becareful about this one though, it will make you purple and they get a free PM out of it if not.

If you see a character humping a tree, rock or some other inanimate object for any length of time, then you can be rest assured it is a bot.

If you whisper to the character and it responds "iambusy!" is it a bot.

Now, sometimes you might catch the botter babysitting the bot so when you whisper the babysitter will acutally respond. I had a 30 minute conversation with a babysitter not too long ago. Oddly enough he/she admitted to botting. This was after several hours of getting KS by this bot:
