It's saved as you go in some Joymax database somewhere. You never, ever, ever need to save.

I think the game periodically saves for a short interval (no more than a few minutes), that's why Crayon keeps telling people to log out 5 minutes before shut down to be safe. When you log off though, the game does a force save.

You never need to save anything, just log off.

yup auto save, no stress
but is what crayon and the other GMs saying true, that your character data could get messed up if its logged in during a server inspection and its forced to log out?

I guess so,if they inspect the server where all the data is stored on,then it might also mean that the inspection itself takes place in the ''Save room'' of the server, and i guess that the reason they tell people not to enter SRO during inspection,is the fact that that the character logging in,would need that data (save data) to start the game, and make you're character materialise ingame, and if they conduct updates or whatnot, you could run the risk of losing not only you're character, but you're whole account.

Data is stored on a server in boxes,(Compressed) Therefore if one would login, they would (Appeal) to that Data, but since the Data is currently (apart,or disformed) the results could be really.really bad.

So stay out, unless losing everything is you're thing :P

If you try to login during expection you cant connect. If your lucky enough to even start silkroad, and not get "Server is undergo expection", then you still wont be able to connec to any of the severs.

Gone. Never really gone, but never really here.
