your atack power have a range like 1000~1500, high atack rating will make you hit higher inside that range.

well lets put it this way

Parry ratio effects defs
Attack ratio affects attack

so lets say

your attack is from
100~150
and
attack ratio is 100

and then you attack some one with
and there defs is
100~150
and the parry is 50

since you have almost double the attack ratio as he has parry

you would have a 50% better chance of hiting your 150 then say 100-125

making your attack of that person even with the same defs as your attack hit harder more often

320 Previous hit ratio
280 After assimilation
302 After attempt to fix assimilation
