Should i wear protector?

Well, currently i wear garments but i noticed my mag defence is 242 while my phys is 144. Thats almost 100 more! Is this normal or should i change to protector?
You're pure str, you can tank a quite a few mobs so wearing garment is recommended. You get the nice extra speed and save mana.
I used protectors at lv 4x because of my fighting style. I ergo like 4-5 mobs and use ghost spears a lot. If you kill one at a time, wear garment.
When you go to the cave, it's better to wear armor to tank more because the cave is small so you don't have much room to manuver away from the angry mobs.
