the object is to get the opponents HP or MP to zero before yours, correct? So a pure will be the best killer in PVP. A hybred lowers both HP and MP when attacking. but that wont kill another player as quick.Am I understanding this correctly? you need to lower only Mp or HP to zero, correct?Or do they add the two together somehow? I have done very little PVP as of yet and needed a few things clarified.thanks.

No. When HP = 0, you're dead. It's that simple.

MP is used to perform spells/moves.

Pure strs are strong because they have a load of HP, obviously, but deal small damage.

Pure ints are strong because they deal the most damage but don't have much HP.

Hybrids are all about find the sweet spot between the two extreme. Don't underestimate a hybrid.

With the current alchemy system right now, HP can be increased significantly, giving the pure int and the hybrid a big boost they need.

I wouldn't say Pure Strs deal small damage... quite the opposite. Less than pure Ints yes, but not enough to be classed as small.

I was under the impression that a nuke did mp damage and a glavie would do hp damage. so no matter what you attack with it all affects your hp. I think I get it now. Thanks for the help

You can't take away someones mp.
Take a look at the guides in the guide section for more info.
