I've been collecting element prices for some weeks now and here are the average prices on Babel:
Keep in mind that those are
average prices and that I haven't recorded every single price on server. Some people sell cheaper than those and some try getting higher prices. I usually get elements sold by using near average prices.

See, several problems. Wind 4 goes for 1k, stalls can put it up for like 2-5k per, no one will actually buy it.

Yeah, 2k+ is too high price but you can get them sold over 1k if you sell them in correct amounts. I also have very limited amount of wind 2 and 4 prices listed since those aren't often available on stalls and this makes those average prices higher. Cheapest wind 2 price that I have listed is 758 per unit and for wind 4 it was 983 per unit.
I expect element prices to still drop down a lot since you can make your own elements cheaper by destroying npc items than actually buying elements from other players (though this method doesn't quarentee that you'll get right amount of the element that you're looking for).

How many different prices were used to obtain each average?
If you only used 5 different prices to get each average then this is fairly pointless. However, if you've used 30+ then it's a good indication of the amount elements go for.
Thank you for doing this and I appreciate the effort you have put in.

I used 10 prices for each element, once 10 was filled, I continued to replace always the highest price with new lower market prices since market prices change constantly so really old high values would skew the average higher and as seen in stalls, elements with high prices don't sell. There still few that don't have even 10 prices listed just because I haven't seen them on sale in stalls. Even if those averages aren't really accurate statistically, they've helped me a lot to see on what prices to buy and for what to sell (since I can check my price lists, I can see also minimum market prices

). I could change my data to hold 30 or even 50 prices for each element to get more accurate results, but I'm not using that much my time to collect that data amount
I also have charts how much elements cost for each tablet so that I can see how much I'm "spending" on alchemy
And remember, those are only from Babel server, price ranges might be totally different on other servers.

Very nice, Tohak. I tried to record element prices and it got old real quick, for me, so I appreciate your time and effort. I guess I'm not a very good candidate for Trader.
I've seen Fire 1's going for 75 each in Alps.

Those prices start to be really old values now.. haven't updated my price collection for while so those values in that pic aren't accurate anymore (would assume prices have gone cheaper now).

I still use the prices in that image for selling elements on Alps. Having no trouble at all getting rid of them.
Allthough I can understand it will be different on other/older servers.
