Does that mean i will be able to block with my spear? i just got a 60 block spear. What exactly does this mean.

block on a weapon (beside shield) means that when you are fightning with a enemy (mob/person) with a shield that he'll block your attack less. Same when you got critical on a shield..the shield make your enemy crit less
