Buying of items from stalls.

Is there a better way to find what you're looking for? I'm a new player looking for some level 5 weapons, and it seems to take forever to go from stall to stall looking for a level 5 weapon.
Is there a central repository somewhere or is there a general convention on where in the city I should be looking for a stall? IE, do all the newbie weapons get sold by certain gates?
Also, is there anyway to tell if I'm receiving the 20% speed boost from garments. I bought armor to cover all the slots with garments, and I don't feel like I'm moving any faster.

Don't even bother with level 5 weapons. Nobody sells them because you can level from 1-10 in a matter of minutes.

nope, it's sad but you just have to keep searching around.
you can always shout that you WTB(want to buy) a specific level item and sometimes you will get a pm back. but the chat only goes out so far, not throughout town.

Thanks for the answers. I was thinking I'd buy a level 5 weapon because i wasn't planning on spending any of my SPs for a while.
Also, anyone have the answer to this, too?

i dont think due to it only be 20% fatser that to the naked eye you will be able to tell a difference. well unless you have a friend wearing armor or protector and you have a sprint race
as far as the weapon goes, if you are doing the quests you will level up so fast you wont need to upgrade at every level. new weapons are available at levels 1,8,16,24,32 etc. look for the best you can afford at those levels .
