Use of Challege Stone question

I want to up the crit on my blade. I've read that trying the odd one every few days is not a good idea as it's best to do it all in one go. So, how many Challenge stones should I available to use before I attempt this?
I've currently got 6 stones with success probablity as follows; 4 x 10% and 2 x 30%. Is this worth a try now or should I get a few more?

Get another stone.
I try to make my crit 9 higher and I need 7 stones (10mil roughly at 8th degree stones)
9 failed to 5. Fail a couple times, suceed 5 to 5 once or twice, then 5 to 8. Then 8 to 5, then 5 to 10.

the % is not the success rate, its the assimilation chance, or the chance that it'll change something else

With about 25 stones on my glaive, I've gotten about 15 2's. And 4 5's. Nothing else.

why do people insist on thinking that the % on stones is the chance of success?? it isn't. it's the chance that attribute assimilation will occur if the stone succeeds, changing another attribute that you weren't planning on touching. for example, in adding int+5 to my spear a few months ago, the crit went from 10 -> 4. took a bunch of stones to get it back.
to reiterate:
the % on the bottom of stones is NOT the chance it will succeed!! it is the probability that another, DIFFERENT attribute will be affected by your success in addition to the one you're working on.

totally. example: steady and lucky stones have a 0% chance, and they're guaranteed successes. they're guaranteed to succeed AND to not eff up your gear.

Thank you SuicideGrl for clearing up the % meaning. It would help people if the wording was a bit clearer though.
Nyumetsu - What main page are you referring to, the SRO official site? I have difficulty finding anything useful on there compared to this forum. Also, I would've read about it when it was released but, I didn't start playing iSRO until after the release, so I wasn't around.
As for the stones I have, it sounds like it's not worth trying unless I expect to be very very lucky in a short amount of time. I got them all cheap so I should be able to make at least a 500k profit when selling them.
