SoX Weapon Drops please clarify

Okay so certain mobs drop certain level stuff
IE Red eye ghosts drop ~42 stuff
If I Want a sox weapon do i need to kill 42 mobs?

no, as long as ur killing in that degree, if u get a wep sos drop it will be the sos for that degree, so monsters degree 1-8 drop sos for deg 1 so lvl 1 sos, so on and so forth

Well I know Bandit Archers drop like, 3rd degree stuff, yet someone on here said they got a 4th degree item SoS from them. I dunno, maybe he was talking about Bandits, but I remember it was 4th degree.

I believe there is a level of variance. First of all sox drops are completely random, and second off all, I have gotten a lvl 42 blade drop from bandit archers, which are a full degree less than the weapon. I don't think sox drops will be too far away from your level, but they vary within a set "bracket" of degree.

i killed yeowas and got sos blade 32, its random.
