Upgrading Weapon/Armor
Ok I have read up on Alchemy on how to get the stones, tablets. Essentially Tablets apply the effects to the weapons and stons/elements are ingrediants. Then you use powders to increaes the upgrade probability or something like that.
From what I understand you have a chance to fail and lose the ingrediants but not the item, a chance to fail which loses ingrediants and item and if the item had upgrades already you could lose upgrades, items, etc.
Is there a safe upgrade process, meaning you won't lose upgrades or items when you upgrade... just possibly lose the ingrediants you used to do the upgrade? Like in some games you can safely upgrade to +3, etc but past that you can have a critical failure and lose everything.

Hhhhmmm, then a few of the guides aren't written that well ... but it could also be tired and misunderstood (probably the latter).
So using "Material Processing" I put the tablet in, then I put the elements for the stones. Fusing them all will create a stone. The stone is what I use to combine with the weapon.
I know some items have Steady, Lucky and Immortal in blue... but I am not sure what you means that, "keeps durability from going 2/2 for above +5". Does that mean I can upgrade to +5 before Durability starts to decrease?
What are Exlirs for then?

as far as i know alchemy is split into two very different parts:
part1: Elixiers.
Everytime you use one there is a slight chance of breaking your weapon.
If the item has immortal and it comes to the worst case, it does not break but immortal is reduced.
If you enchant more than +4 you have a chance of losing all durability on the weapon. - You need Steady to prevent this.
If an enchant fails all +X that were there before are gone. - If you have astral it preserves +4 (but you got to get to +4 without any security.. so +3 and astral can still fall back to 0)
Allways use lucky powder of the same degree as the item you enchance with elixiers. - if the item has lucky charges, still use lucky powder, they work together.
part2: Stones (from tablets+elements)
Everytime you use a stone there are the following possibilities:
1. Alchemy fail. -> No change on the weapon/item & Stone is gone (happens quite often to me)
2. Alchemy sucess -> The Attribute is created (or changed if it existed) but if it is changed it can be changed to a lesser value!
3.Alchemy sucess + Value assimilation -> An attribut other than the specified on the stone changes! (chances are given in the stone destription they vary from 10% to 30%)
I hope that helps.. i got my information from reading this forum and doing alchemy ingame. - If you find any errors please post here.

Ok I created a couple stones today, one restats attack (I think it means increase physical attack) and the other increases Str.
So now do I apply the stone to a weapon by itself or use it with conjunction of Elixiers (lucky powder, etc.)?
From what you said it looks like they apply two different effects. Elixiers increase the weapon/armor attribute to a +1/+2/+3, etc. While the stones give certain stat upgrades like Str, increased attack... or am I misunderstanding that.

Elixiers create the +X. Which increases M atk and P atk of the weapon. (P Def, M def of Armor).
2 Types of stones:
One Type adds an Blue Attribute to the weapon like +3 Str.
One Type changes an Weapon Stat (like P Atk) you can see how much a stat is increased by the percentage behind it.
i.e.: P Atk 20 - 50 (+10%)
would mean it is increased 10% out of maximum possible 100%.
To aply a stone you got to the second tab of the alchemy inserd the weapon into the menu than add the stone into the right site.
You can't use lucky powder with stones.
Hm, i think that wasn't too clear - hope it helps anyway.

I dont know how about you.... but for me all the bossible of upgrade weapon seems bull**** (i better dont say it
) ! Most of ppl here talk about, to get +4 isnt so hard and ppl just afraid to try, etc. I tryed over 10 times to get +4 item and never did...1 time even failed to get +2 item! If its not so hard ... why i fail all the time?? I use allways lucky powder and tryed even with blue items with lucky 3 times....! Same is with stones. From more then 10 times i tryed ...only 2 times i didnt fail, but got exact same vallue (1 time had parry ratio X (+0%) and other time critical X (+0%)). So if i need to try 100 times and use like 50 million to get item worth of 1 million ..... where is the point??? It looks like ...if you make your char, then there will be a note in server for you, like you can or you cant upgrade items. And you cant do nothing about it to change. You just LUCKY or NOT LUCKY

So I've tried a couple times to upgrade with Stones and failed every time. Is there anything that will increase the chances on an upgrade?
