When I use a Magic Stone is there a chance I'll lose the + from an item e.g If I had a Bow +5 could it go to 0 like when an elixir fails. Or is it only the other stats which may be effected with Magic Stones?

No the + stays. But there's a chance of assimilation that could randomly change another stat. The chance of assimilation is listed at the bottom of the stone.

Thanks for the quick answer. Worth a try at least once. If it goes really badly it'll be the first and last time I try.
