I'm a pure int char and just died with at bandits getting mobbed by a giant and 2 other bandits. I'm using a sos bow and i just found out you can lose stuff after dying. I'm scared...

i have heard you can lose an equipped item if you die. some of the veterans on this forum have said it has happened to them.

they have also said that if u die while having a murderer status the probability of a drop is very high, even from equipped items.

they say the probability is very low if you die under any other status.

don't worry about dropping equipment.

it is impossible to drop anythign that you actually have equipped whilst under normal circumstances. the probability is something like 0.5%

if you do intend to murder someone, it's best to put all of your good gear into storage because yes, the chance to drop stuff is something more like 20%

If you could drop your sos gear after dying no high level players would buy sos gear.

i have dropped some things to while dying
these where from high lvl npc thieves 60+
when i was lvl 30~40

i think that u will drop stuff when the mob is very red

I've never lost something when grinding, but my monkey brought back sometimes items when I hunt thieves ! I think probability are higher when on job and even higher when murderer status is "activated"

i lost a item when i was griding on ujigis/ mujigis and they killed me, but it wasnt equipment, there were a trousers from my inventory... that was near hotan and i run a lot and get them again
and when i have lvl 30 or something like that, i droped horses when i die... a guy ress me but he get them lol

No, jobbing and the strength of the enemy has no effect on the probability that you will drop gear. When I was ~lvl 19 I dropped some return scolls when I died to a chakji worker. The only thing that will change the probability of dropping gear is murderer status.

Yeah, I was on a trade run and I killed a murderer and they dropped sos earrings.

i lost some blue lvl 23 shoulder armor the other day, i was fighting a giant ghost on my own. the item was not equipt but it was on my inventory.

I have yet to drop anything. I have died 10+ times with murder status and not dropped a thing? Maybe game mechanics know why i turned red? Dropping bots and kill stealers make me lose some exp and makes me a target but at least it adds more immersion to the game. Ohh and by the way i at least warn the KSer before i unload =)

I've died a few times without losing anything yet, but I know for a fact people will lose things in their inventory sometimes.

Recently I was on a trade route and a man in murder status ran by, so my excorting trader ran after him and killed him, and got a Blue 4th degree item, which that murderer was wearing. I really have no idea if it was just in his inventory or if he really had it equipped, but I saw the name over Red box with the glowing thing in it after he died!

I did my delvling while I was sp farming with a full 1st deg garment set and didn't drop a single piece of my equiped stuff after dying literally hundreds of times.

I also killed a murderer and the nice man dropped me a SOM 5th degree shoulder armor+1.

The only time I dropped something was a garment chest that I was wearing when I was a murderer.

You shouldn't really have to worry about it unless you are a murderer.

If you ever sp farm, and delevel a whole lot, you'll realize it is possible to drop equipped items.

i droped my weapon once but a friend was there and picked it out i died like 50 times i was lvl 17 going to hotan

Where are you getting these numbers? I wouldn't really give false or misleading information. And if you did give numbers, say they're just you're guess.

So you say 0.5% Do you know how LARGE that actually is? that's 1 in 200...that's still a very big probbility of dropping.

Yesterday, I dropped my stack off 22 return scrolls when I got npc theived. That hurt.

I dropped 3 times during my 50 time suicide

Btw silkroad is nothing compare to other game say EQ where you drop all you equipment on death or Lineage II which equiped stuff can be dropped too (and higher probability rate than silkroad)

Runescape. You only KEEP your 3 most valuable items, even equipment and money (though nothing from your bank). And most valuable to the shop, not street price. (Rare items that sell to shop for 1gp, but players for over 100m... Yea, instantly dropped). That's if you're NOT skulled (rs's equivalent to murderer status). If you ARE skulled, you lose everything.

Anarchy Online, there's only a few items that you can lose, and they're clearly marked, and you can only lose then in pvp. You can't lose levels, but you will lose all of your unsaved experience for your current level.

I SP farm and to my experience I've never dropped anything that I had on (equipped)...

Death history:
- Deleveled 14 to 13
- Deleveled 15 to 13 (2x)
- Deleveled 17 to 16 (3x)
- Deleveled 18 to 16

The only time I've ever dropped anything was when the item/s was in my inventory and not on me.
