Improving crossbow stats

How do you go about increasing your Crossbow stats? For example i use the Scorpio Storm Spiral atm. How would i increase the phy. atk. power and atk. rate stats of the crossbow?

by plussing it up, or by changing the white stats by doing alchemy.

You can use stones not just to increase phy. atk., but also to increase str, which will automatically increase phy. atk. Crossbow Extreme takes away a lot of HP, so if you are already using alchemy, you can also increase your max HP with stamina stones on legs, hat, chest.

Stamina (hp) stones can only be used on legs , hat , chest .
Not "on every equipment item you have" .
