I think I pretty much know what recast and cooldown are, but sometimes I get confused, and may misuse one for the other. So in order for me to be assured, would someone please explain them?

I believe recast time is the time it takes for the spell to be available again whereas cooldown time is the time it takes for the character to finish the current spell (the follow through animation) and cast the next spell.

Yes, that is what I thought. Thanks a lot.

cooldown is the time it takes before you can cast the spell again, recast? You're casting it again? or isn't it the same as cooldown?

Eh, I guess I see it as cooldown is the time until you can use the skill again and the recast time is the time it takes to finish the skills animation. Semantics, semantics.

Anyway, no disrespect to others, just different perceptions on everyone's part.

cool down time is the black timer on the skill ,. so skill cool down would be that time it takes for the skill to reset it self so its avaleble again to be recast or something :? :?

really, they're the same thing, but the terminology is used for different things.
recast is for the longer lasting things like harmony circle and buffs, as it takes a long time until you can recast them.

cooldown is moreso for attacks and nukes, it moves fast and you can use it again quickly... once its cooled down.

my thought anyway
