I've never had a wiz before, and I skilled detect. The CD is quick, but can you move while using it? I mean, if someone moves away who was just "seen" via detect, can you move and still see him, or does it drop and you have to recast?

PvP isn't as much fun when safe zone wiz pop out of inviso.

You can see and move to attack him as long as he is in your range and the skill didn't end yet .
And everyone else can see him when he is in detect range , too .
