How do I prevent being burned so much by Meek Gun Powder?

I have the fire shield but only at the lvl shown on the pic below. Is this why?

I lose 57 STR every 5 seconds when I get burnt and the Earth Ghosts that hang around near the Meek Gun Powder keep killing me if I get more than one attacking me. I have to keep healing up and I'm using loads of health potion.

I have all the correct garments, weapons and jewellery for my lvl and is it normal at lvl 26 for the Earth Ghosts to still be so hard?

Do you have your cures set to Auto?

buy universal pills

use pills...

I didn't know there was such a thing as auto cure. Do you mean the self breathe heal on the force menu?

heh, go to the place where u buy potion and you will see things called universal pills, then you can press "T" and set them to auto ^^

I was pure INT when I killed meek gun powders, and I never died.

Thanks guys. I never knew what those universal pills were for so never looted them.

I have some now but it's just the damn Earth Ghosts that wind me up. I think I may leave the 200 Meek Gun Powder Bombs quest.

I have also ticked the abnormal status box in the Auto Potion Recover box. Is that correct to automatically heal me from burns etc?

meeks are annoyings, but i had force cure ^_^

kill regular gunpowders not meeks, they only use darkness which doesn't burn.

Where are the Gunpowders? I can only fnd the meeks just after the Earth Ghosts and before Hyungno Ghosts.

=/ just looking at your HP/MP, what're your balances? It leans towards STR hybrid from what I see, which will perhaps become troublesome later.

just checking, you know you need to have a shield on when your going to use the status fire buff.

nope, just pull out the shield, do your shit, and switch to glavie again.

Does anyone know the trick with the gun powder drops?

You can deposit 200 gun powders into your storage. And pull one out, and the quest log will still say the quest is completed. So you turn in your one gun powder to the NPC and complete the quest. Then accept another quest and pull out the 199 gun powders in storage and then go out and hunter for one more. You get the idea.

It really works because I just tried it.

Even easier. When you complete the 1st time put them all in storage. Get reward and repeat quest. Take all the bombs out of storage and split 1 off. Drop it and pick it back up. Quest done. Restore and repeat.

I wonder if this will work with any quest...??

I did Zhen's trick twice after my first 200 grind and managed to level up to 27 and get a nice amount of gold by killing a few Gun Powders.

u cant drop gun powder bombs :/

yeah head towards the cave NW from DW.
you cant drop them put the first 20 in storage then go get 180, put all in storage get reward go collect one more... go get reward... go get one more. then get them all out of storage for the third reward as you dont want to keep them, they will just take up a slot wherever they are. you cant drop sell exchange them.

you will loose out on the xp in that level for the gunpoweders you didnt kill, so will need to grind a little more later on where there is a quest gap from 29 to 31 ((i think) look at quest guide)
