0% stones mean you have 0% Chance of assimilating the stats so while you use 0% stones you have 0% Chance of changing stats except the stat your working on. and it going from 127 to 127 is just bad luck :)

I just used about 50 stones on different things and about 2/3 of them failed and the rest just reset it to 0.. WTF?

Yep, there are 3 possible outcomes from an alchemy stone.

1. It fails
2. It succeeds and change the value to higher or lower
3. It succeeds but doesn't change the value

Number 3 is the most common one so don't be surprised to have like 60% of your stones changing the stat from 0% to 0% (or which ever % it's at).

I just wanna edit that last one.

It's not so much that it doesn't change, it's just that 0% is the most common result when working with the white stats. Hence you usually get 0-0%.

In my experience it usually changes from the same to the same being it 0 or 22. 41/61 (or 80 if I'm really lucky) will usually result in a dropdown to 22 or 0. But ofcourse this is my experience and it might be different for someone else =p
