Can monsters drop their same level SOM/SOSUN items?

This is a question to all those people lucky enough to get an SOM/SOSUN drop. I've heard from rumors that SOM/SOSUN drops are lower than the level of monster you're hunting. So for example, bandit archer will drop SOSUN lvl 1 shield since 1+15= lvl 16. Is this true from anybody's experience?
If that's the case, I can forget dreaming about getting an SOM/SOSUN drop than I can use =(

a guildmate of mine got a lv57 sos prot lamellar from a lv45 bunwang.
ok, its just loosy sostar, no som or susun, but still.. (wink wink
)

my guildmate got a SoStar Lv44 soharin shoes from a Blood Death Flower and he was Lv34 at that time

I think it's only som and sosun that are in qn, not sos. I was wondering the same thing too since the only som i got and the ones I hear people getting are usually lower in lvl than the monster they fight. E.g.:
1) This guy who got his sosun 16 bow from ghost bugs.
2) I got som silk shoes from a lvl 20+ npc thief.

I only got a lvl 19 SOS silk hat from a bandit(lvl 16)
So i dont really know ~_~

I've gotten a SOS 24 blade from a Huyungo giant >.>
(and a couple of 3rd deg sos's from a murderer xD)

Y do u guys keep talkin about sos? Any way yea i think its true my friend was hunting lvl 38 scorpions and he got a lvl 32 SOM spear

Guess I can confirm everyone's suspicions....I was doing the 600 chakji quest the other day, and was at the east ferry(Jangan side) fighting the workers....dropped a lv 28 SOM armor. I was lv 21. Chakji workers are about the same. So it's rare, yes, but certainly not impossible.

And I got a lvl 28 sos necklace from tiger (the plain one, not giant or champion) near the bandits.. which is a lvl 14 mob

Just proving that it doesn't look like there is any set formula to the Seal items any monster drops, whether its for SoM/SoSun/and even SoS.

I have the worse luck, only second to stallowned, when it comes to SoX. I'm 53 now and nothing yet, although one time I get a +5 item. I suspect when I get an Sox, it'll be garment, lv 1 and for female.
