No, it's really not a simple question. I've only been on SRF less than two years, read a ton of posts and already have come to the conclusion that Joymax and gold bots really do partner somehow.

Yesterday I got disconnected on both my desktop and on my laptop. I had a lvl 16 char that was constantly getting invited by goldbots on Seirenes, where I was. After I got kicked, I came back in on my main char w/ prem and noticed the goldbots weren't back yet - they came back within 5 minutes and they weren't auto-inviting anymore. I didn't get back on my laptop for an hour. So the goldbots got back in the game before my alt did!

I have premium on my main account and got disconnected on both, so it wasn't like the server was full and kicked me to make room for a premium user.

Not every one is well informed about this situation and there have been tons of discussion on SRF about it. We could have another one here

They used to kinda ban goldbots, but what's the use when you ban 100+ accounts, they're replaced right afterwards w/ 100+ more? It's like fighting an endless army: you kill 3, 4 more are right behind it...kill those 4, there's 8 more coming up on you ... and the cycle continues

goldbots are here because of the players, simple as that ....and they'll continue to be there as long as people continue to support them ... looking at the sro community, it seems goldbots are here to stay...

not to mention JM makes some dough from them as well ... if the servers weren't as packed, some people wouldn't bother buying a prem every 28 days ...lol

ok.. my freind is a GM at a game(not sro!).. he showed me how gm's client is.. and he told me its almost tje same at all the games.. GM can click on the server find all the chars online =).. right click he got .. (Bann,DC) and ur stauts stalling even botting =).. its not that hard and dont forget GM THEIR JOB is to protect the game so its not that hard... i heard joymax take a % of their money.. traffic = permiums + take some money from gold bots company why not its joymax gold diggin b.itch.. and the answer is simple not all of this bull shit.. its just money

Well, I think its pretty obvious that they're not going to lols. Reasons don't really matter, its their game, they can do what they like. If they wanted to, they could sue every single gold selling ste on the internet, and then ban every single gold bot but they won't because as someone already said, they're probs connected in a way which results in them making money. If they wanted to, they would have stopped this problem yonks ago.

This is all about the money and greed, as someone mentioned above they earn much more money if players buy premium in every month. Many players run more than one character, they usually purchase 2-3 premium tickets.
I do believe JM gets its own bonus from the main goldbot companies' profit. They could easily bann goldbots and keep the servers clean and easy to login if they wanted, but that would mean less money in the pockets.

Maybe the gold bot companies pay a percentage of their profits to JM?

they /care or get money from them aswell

So.. if we all immidiatly stop playing, the goldbots will dissapear. makes sence. too bad that will never happend

Agreed. it's not like they have no money to hire active GM's to ban goldbotters.

My simple question is how does goldbots connect back like an premium users ? without having premium .

They just never get disconnected .. Or there are too many of them too notice that maybe 5 have been dc'ed.

Other kind of question: Are goldbots a Joymax problem only?
Does any goldbot exist at WoW?
I think about moving to WoW, right you have to pay, but
premium Silkroad player pay also.

Let's face that JM will never do anything about gold bots. I agree that when they ban gold bots, bot company makes new chars instead of the banned ones. So kinda useless to ban them.

So how can they stop them? They should prevent people from buying gold from them.
How can they do that? It is simple. They just need to investigate every exchange and stall activities. Who pays for an universal pill 200m ? Even the most stupid person in this world would not pay 200m for one universal pill. Or nobody gives to another one 200m for nothing. So it is obvious that one player is buying gold from another one. They can ban both players who are involved in this activity. Then people start to see they will be banned and they won't buy gold, so gold selling companies will lose their customers and leave the game.

Now... Do you really think that JM does not know how to do this? Sure they do but they will never do this because of several reasons. If they start to ban real players, people will quit and they will lose money. If they ban bots, servers will be easy to log in. No one will buy premium and they will lose money.

JM will never do any shit about gold bots and player bots either. Period!

I've seen the 100 mio pill (or worse) several times.
Someone told me: If you link your stuff to sell to the stall network, there is a (small) change JM buys an item randomly. At any price, maybe it's you. So a kind of gambling.
Must be a hoax. You're right, it's all about gold selling (bastards).

I agree, I've seen this happen before and Joymax isn't doing anything about it. Maybe they are trying to earn cheap money. Who Knows
