I think I know something now about standard, champion and giant mobs, that's for grinding alone. Then you've party mobs for a group, a lot stronger of course since you attack them with the party.

Something strange happens. I'am grinding alone (no other players for miles around): for fun, quest, drops, whatever.
I fight mob around my own level (+/- 2). Sometimes a mob appears to be a party mob, when I'am lucky, I finish him off, most of the times I'am killed (Yek!).

Why does this type of party mob appear? I'am really not member of a party, my image is quite alone at the left upper corner of the screen.

please help me understand (and some defense tips/hints welcome also)

Probably some party ran by you and therefore a lonely party mob appeared too. It happens all the time and its not possible to prevent, really

Just try running away from them if you can't kill them

i haven't grinded since the new update so it could be a glitch where pty mobs spawn in any pty type. if not then chances are there is someone in a 8/8 party near you and the mob just randomly roamed into your grinding spot. it happens a lot in higher lvls. i would suggest you just run and find a new spot to grind in. pty mobs disappear after 10 min so you can go back there later.
