Lucky/Shield elixir question

Yesterday I bought a nice shield. This one:



So since my storage is full of Shield Elixirs I was wondering what would be the chance to do a +5 or +6 on it. I've read that 'Alchemy Question' topic and according to that Lucky 4/Times would mean, you've got the enchanting help rate chance up to +4. I might be wrong tho.
Of course noone can say that 'yeah dude you'll make +6 with 30 Shield Elixirs' because it's really about how lucky you are. I can understand it. I'm just asking if it would be worth trying at all, or shall I leave it +4 as it is now? I'm kinda confused with this 'enchanting system', cuz my stuff usually fail at +3. Oh well well, it would be nice if I get some answers.

That luck just increases the overall + luck one time for every + that you do, no matter if it is +1 +3 or +8. It uses up 1 luck at a time. Yes you can try to +5 it, if it succeed you can try to +6 it but then you will have a chance it'll get destroyed. If you fail to +5 it it'll go back to +0 and you have to start over. The chance you get +6 with 30 elixers is very slim but you can always try. =]

with that lucky on the shield I would try +5 and leave it at +5 and not try +6 cuz then it might fail and drop back to 0 AND the shield could destroy. but if you feel like u want the cool +6 glow who now looks like the old +7 glow, then go for it
