alright dumb question i know.
but when i search for this i get answers that say "did u do the .23 trick or w.e" and im not reli sure what this trick is... can any1 post me the original guide on connecting? (the .27 or w.e ip trick )

I couldn't find it in the rev6 forums anymore.
So i write it myself.
Start ur sro launcher.
Then open the command prompt from the start menu by clicking on run and typing cmd.
Write netstat -n and search for 121.128.133.30:15779 in the third column when u find it then press Start and login.

But i don't remember what u have to write on the hosts file, in order to the game connect itself into 30th server.

mine says .28:15779

does that mean it wont connect me?

should i make sure its .30?

Open hosts with notepad, and type below everything



This way you'll always connect to .30 server - which is where goldbots dont login.

Cannot create the C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts file.
make sure that the path and file name are correct

im on vista btw

I think that is because of the user account control system.
My brother has vista too, he copied it to some other place, maybe desktop will do then he added these lines there and saved it , then he replaced the original one with it or he deleted the original before putting the one from desktop back there.

If you got vista then do this :

Right click on hosts file then click Properties.

Go to the security tab up top.

Choose the User group your on from the top box, then click edit and give yourself all permissions, now save it.

Btw you can change it back to the way it was by doing this, I would recommend you change it back to the normal way for security reasons.

Im sorry, i am new to this game.
So what does this do, let u logg in faster ?

Pretty much yes, there are 4 or 5 login servers, from .26 to .30 - I'm not really sure is this 100% correct, so someone correct me.
Anyhow, the main point of this is that the login line is queue, and the thing we know is that goldbots login into every login servers, except .30.

And since there are alot of goldbots, the queues at all loginservers are huge, except at .30.
During work days I usually login under hour and half during peak hours, and on weekends I log in after 2-3 hours.
After midnight on work days, I login after 20 minutes.


The thing that should be tested, to be honest is to try logging into .26 server, since probabbly goldbots too found out that its easiest to login to .30 server.

i logged in and just logged right back out.
i spawned by the potion merchant and saw a BLOB of color with another blob of silvery stuff next to it near the merchant...
thats how many gold bots there were.

so i quit it lol

Why are goldbots bugging you?
They dont effect your grinding in anyway, you are 7x, there is plenty of free spots at Niya Guards.

theres more bots at niya guards mages and generals then there is at bunwangs.

niya guards are too low for me. snipers is the only thing work killing (and above)
and theres no where to kill there. ive looked. its full of plvl bot parties.
makes and generals are even worse.

Roc mountain? Feathers? Shaurs?
I never seen any goldbot at roc. mt.
