Attacking Rating
Re: Attacking Rating
In your C screen (Hit C ingame). You will see your physical and magical damage, and after that 2 values. The first one is your minimum damage and the second one your maximum.
Now, the higher your Hit ratio is (AR on your weapon, but called hit ratio on the C screen). The more often you will hit towards your maximum damage.
Parry does the opposite of hit ratio to your opponents. The higher YOUR parry ratio is, the more often your OPPONENTS will hit towards there minimum damage.

Re: Attacking Rating

I thought a shield with a high block ratio would make them crit less on you.

Don't you mean the weapons with a high block ratio?

err...I don't recall, but it's definitely the shield...whatever that ratio is named.
edit: it's the same thing. I have seen blues with blocking ratio on weapons, and assume they were more likely to do more damage against a shield with a high BR.
But I usually get my shields up to a high BR as possible. Doesn't that impact crit chance, or is it simply the chance to block altogether?

Re: Attacking Rating
[smartass]Block ratio on a weapon decreases the opponent's shield's blocking rate. 100% block ratio blue means the opponent's shield technically has 10 BR.
Crit ratio on YOUR shield decreases your opponent's weapon's crit. 100% crit ratio means your opponent's weapon will have 0% crit (like 1 on a blade, 4 on a spear, etc.).[/smartass]

Ok, I looked it up, it is "Critical Parry Ratio", not Blocking Ratio. I was wrong, the BR doesn't reduce the crits. doh.

As if...
Lowers the crit and blocking ratio, ok, but to 0% that's just bs.

Man, I clearly said the item's % next to crit/BR... NOT your actual chance to block/crit.
