If you're a hybrid on SRO can you still be a str?

my friend's been asking me this for a while now and it's annoying so i went ahead and asked. . .

but anyway, he's level 32 and has been leveling up HP and MP. his str is 104 and int is 91. so that basically means he's a hybrid, rite? i'm sure you can still be str when you're a hybrid, but he wants to know if he'll still be as strong if he starts being str right now. he wonders if he should start a new character to be stronger with str.

its fine

no idea why no one likes hybrids really...
even if you randomly put str/int in it's fine, close your eyes and click away

if you add int, you get more damage, more str=hp
anything else you can modify by masteries...
"pures" will have hard time with less trees to max

pure str goes fire for damage, and loses speed/phantom (which doesnt really matter for str i suppose because isro=button mash pvp without movement)
pure int goes lighting and the lose def..., they go ice and they lose damage (which also decreases their weapon damage too)

hybrids can max a weapon and split force masteries to compensate, they dont need max ice since they got more hp, dont need max light because they got str for phy damage (or could go fire and not light, depending on int/str hybrid)

Int hybrid is nice...But a str? They loose too much crit damage and hp when they go str hybrid.

crit damage doesnt go down... its been shown that ints and str have same crit damage...
hp goes down but damage goes up

More int -> less phy attack -> lower crits, because a crit only doubles the phy dmg from an attack. So yeah, the damage is lower. Overall dmg is a bit higher perhaps but I rather have more crit damage and more hp.

More crit damage + more hp < overall damage + higher snow shield

Lol...I played on a hybrid str glaive and I noticed the hp loss really killed the char >.< Sorry but hybrid str sucks IMO

I guess you weren't hybrid enough...what was your ratio?

Wasn't my char but he had like 2/3k hp less than a pure str at 90. And being more hybrid means even less hp which results in faster death. I'm sorry but I just can't imagine a strong hybrid str.

Well that was the problem. 2/3k hp less at 90 cap would amount to like 8:1 or 7:1 hybrid almost. That little of int wouldn't add enough damage to offset the loss of hp. I'm talking about a 2:1 or 3:1 str hybrid. That much int would add a lot of damage, would add enough mana to use a 35%-40% snow shield, and still pretty good crit damage. With snow up you'd be able to tank just as good as a pure str with higher damage.

90% has 20 ice..They pop snow and you can't kill them, then you'll die after it runs out >.>

Well I guess the hope is that you'll get a high enough damage increase that you can completely drain their mp when they have snow on and then you can work on killing them...I have no experience with an str hybrid so this is coming all from theory. A decent amount of bows will go str hybrid and they seem to fare well enough.
