Why the 20 light.. The normal build is 80 light/20 ice (for lvl 1 snowshield)..When you want high ice you might as well max it.

Yea, 20 Light is ... dont get it.
Either take 80 Light 20 Cold or take 100 Cold for MASSIVE phys def and buy speed drugs/scrolls, cause sacriefiing 174 Phys Def for the almost crappy Light buffs from light 20 isnt worth it imo

Basically they're saying either go light 80 cold 20 or 100 cold. The 20 lightning isn't worth it. For lightning buffs, the main buffs are the speed+phantom ones, then u can get the parry ratio stuff if u want, but personally i don't think they're worth the sp if ur not farming.

What Boppy wrote, but if u gonna get Light 80 u should take the Parry Ratio Buffs, it really helps, the speed is a must have. Also the Mag Dmg buff may seem wirthless, but always keep in mind that ur imbue is mag based, having mag dmg buff makes u deal more dmg as long as u use the imbue.

simple

The differences between light 100 and light 80 (fo a pure str) are not more than a bad joke which costs SP like hell, and 20 Cold gives u the ability to use the first snow shield, which gives u more survivability. So with 80 Light and 20 Cold u get pretty good buffs + a skill which absorbs 20% of the dmg recived!
Whereas Light 20 gives like nothing, 26% speed, 13 parry, 5% mag dmg increase. Thats really not worth it. Cold 80 gives 162 Phys Def, which is already good (gives a higher snow shield aswell, but u wont use any better one than the first), BUT Cold 100 would give u 336 Phys Def, which is 174 more than cold 80, and IMO 174 Phys Def > 26% speed ...

U can see that 80 Cold, 20 Light is crap compared to 80 Light 20 Cold, either take 80L20C or 100C and buy speed drugs.
