hi, i been using snow wall lvl 83 on lvl 83 mobs and the skills didnt quit any dmg. i wonder whats it good for -.-

thought it absorbed phy dmg. i tried it on snipers/antelopes and dmg didnt change at all on me
bug? or did i misunderstand what the snow wall is good for

well it`s like a shield that got hp and it absorbs the physical dmg totally that you get from mobs/players. when the wall is destroyed cause it took too much phy dmg, it will disappear and you will get the physical dmg again.

Waste of SP if you ask me.

Won't need anymore than a lvl1 wall. A lvl1 frost wall will take a purely physical attack once, w/o damaing urself at all. U won't use it tht much.

Useless in PvE, pretty useful in PvP if you know how/when to use it

True especially if your up againts a formidable str char & your waiting for snow shield or iron wall to recharge. Saved me quite a few times.

Wall = Pro. It blocks that DD.

no, seriously.

icewall: int s/s can't KD you until he breaks it.
Warlock can't debuff you, at all.
Wizard can't KB you or give stats.
bard can't... bind? meh.
cleric can't..... bind, meh again
idk about spear. they're usually hybrid anyway.

firewall: rouge can't break it.. maybe with vein weapon but probably not, no KD or KB. (Though, if they're smart, which is rare in an SRO player, they'll stay out of range and snipe you to death.)
Warrior can't KD or KB til they stun with sprint assault or sudden twist.
Bladers who spam KD get owned.
not sure of the effect on glavie against firewall.. it might make you immune to dull, no idea tbh.
probably useless against bow unless you are a bower yourself.

if you KNOW there's a wizard around in invisible, or a cleric about to do offering on you it's better to use firewall in those situations of course.

so i should max it out to lvl 100? i got it to lvl 83 atm.

i tried it on mobs and saw no dmg was quitted at all thats why i stopped lvling it & asked this question here.
im still not too sure why it dont have any effect on mobs

Ice wall and firewall both very useful in pvp and sometimes life savers. Firewall has saved me quite a few times and i use it as a basic skill against nukers that are hard to handle at times.

Just the other day I pvped a lvl 100 FF +7 s/s pure nuker (http://www.rev6.com/player.asp?id=432006)no wep skills and she was nuking 23-25k with snowshield on. So I had to throw up firewall after every attack and knock her back and I eventually won.

Get it, it's one of those skills that will help assist you to survive till your next snow shield during the cool down period. Its very useful against bladers, low damage yet they cant kd you so that means the ice wall should last a few hits, cause you know once your in kd your pretty screwed without snow shield unless you want to rely on the blocking ratio of your shield. It may not be useful for some classes with high dps and magic dps classes but you know i'm sure there will be times in the future when it saves your ass.
