Alchemy question

My question is about steady.I know it's used to prevent durability reduce but some guild mates told me that it also prevents stones assimilation.I tried it and to be honest i think it works but can't say for sure.I am asking this here cause i can't seem to find this info in game.

Steady just prevents durability reduce.
U were just (un)lucky on the assimilation part :p
I've done enough alchemy to know that steady DOES NOT prevent assimilation

hmm i used about 10 stones and no assimilation i don't think it's luck.But you must have steady 6 times.I've done much alchemy either but haven't heard this 'till now.
i need more opinions

Nothing prevents assimilation...unless you're using a 0% stone (i.e. astral/immortal). Steady just prevents +-ing, failing, and screwing up your durability. =)
